I should have posted these sooner but we haven’t had reliable wifi in so long. The wifi wasn’t working at our hotel in Tokyo and then when we got home we realized that our wifi was also broken (and I was so jet lagged that I have been to tired to be on my computer). Either way, here is a small photo diary from Taipei and Singapore. It was our first time in Taipei and my second time in Singapore and I loved and had so much fun in both places so much. xx
After a few days of rest in Bali, Slow Magic and I traveled to Bandung for the first show of his Asia tour. Early the next morning, we traveled back to Bali for a festival called Wakeup Call, which is put on by W Hotels. Neither of us had gotten any sleep so we were happy to get to the W where we stayed in bed and ordered room service until the show. The next day, we flew to Taipei, where we are now.
Taipei is so rainy so we spent the day wandering around in a mall that is attached to our hotel. Tonight we will probably get some dinner and then head back to our hotel to do some work. We are so exciting I know lol. xx
Ever since I heard about EVA Air’s Hello Kitty flights, I have wanted to take one. So, when Slow Magic and I boarded our five hour flight from Taipei to Bali and realized that we were taking one of their Hello Kitty flights I was beyond excited. Everything was so cute and so branded, it didn’t even seem like real life (all flights should be that cute…how could anyone get angry when the environment is so cute?).
Hello Kitty aside, our trip from NYC to Bali was our first time flying on EVA Air so I do not have a ton of experience with the airline, but from the two flights we did have (a 15 hour flight being the first one) they seem to be an airline that truly cares about their onboard service. The flight attendants were nice, they had nice amenities (hand lotion, face mist, etc in the bathrooms even on the shorter flight), they always made sure you were hydrated, and they actually had fruit meals. Even on the second flight when they didn’t have the fruit meal on board for me, the flight attendant seemed genuinely concerned and actually made one for me (I didn’t even know airlines could do that). Additionally, towards the end of the flight, she asked me if I wanted her to put in an order for all fruit meals for our two upcoming EVA Air flights. So nice!
Unrelated, today is our first full day in Bali. We are going to spend it relaxing at the spa and then maybe go to the beach for dinner. xx
On our drive from Aspen to Boulder, we were able to go through Independence Pass, which closes during the winter. The leaves were so beautiful and it honestly felt like we were in a dream.
Right now, we are getting ready to leave for NYC and then for Slow Magic’s Asia tour. There is so much to do before we leave and I am not quite sure what I should pack… I am feeling overwhelmed lol.
I love Fall and the moment I start to feel it is the moment I embrace it entirely. Here is how I get in the mood for the season :
1. Warm sweaters
the moment I start wearing sweaters outside is the moment that summer is over for me. Oversized ones are my favorite.
2. Go apple picking
(see more pics from our time apple picking here)
3. Bake something seasonal
Use the apples you just picked (because what else will you do with all of those apples). It will make your whole house smell like autumn.
4. Hot apple cider
Add cinnamon and nut mug while you heat it on the stove.
5. Take a walk and embrace the cooler weather
Decorate with them, cook with them…visit a pumpkin patch
Wear it/decorate with it
The easiest, quickest way to make your home feel more like Fall is to light lots of candles.
9. Change your living room decorations
Switch out your pillows, throws, and rug for cozier more inviting ones.
10. Start a new TV show
Here are a few cozy ones that I like
