After the holidays is a weird time for living room decor…if you are like me, you want to keep the coziness but without having even a hint of Christmas. To maintain that cozy feel, I kept everything light to brighten the space and added a gold tray for extra warmth. I also kept up the fairy lights, switched out the pillows for light pink velvet ones (I also sewed a new fawn print pillowcase, this time in pink, which I am feeling pretty proud of lol), and added more candles. At night we light all the candles and turn on our fairy lights and our living room glows :)

Also, I wanted to talk about another wintery thing : my absolute favorite maple candies, which I realized I can order on amazon and happened to receive the same day that I was taking these pics. I have eaten a lot of maple candies over the years, from many different maple sugar makers (it is kind of messed up how much I love maple candy) and I can say with confidence that these are the best. They are from Mount Mansfield Maple Products, a family run sugaring business that focuses on sustainability from my home state of Vermont, and I swear they are always soft and creamy. If you haven’t ever had maple candies before, they are made from 100% maple syrup (seriously that is the only ingredient) and are kind of unlike anything else…just imagine biting into a maple cloud or something. If you are interested in trying them, you can buy them here!
