March 23rd

After the Orlando show we did a show in Tampa and the day after that we had a show in Athens, GA. The drive to Athens was so pretty, all of the trees were starting to blossom and there were bursts of pink and white all up and down the highways. It felt so much spring, it was so nice.

When we got to Athens and were driving to the venue it felt like a scene from a movie. All of the sororities and fraternities were throwing parties on the front lawns of their houses and big groups of well tanned, brightly dressed students were making their way towards the houses. It all felt so wholesome...but in a way where there was a sort of underlying darkness. Anyways, after soundcheck, we went and got poke for dinner and when the show was finished we drove to Commerce, GA.

I wanted to share a few pics that Anton took of Slow Magic and me before the show. We do not often get pics together, so when we do it is exciting.

Also, my quick summary of Orlando :

- We drove into Orlando on the day of the show and arrived at the venue a few hours before soundcheck.

- We loaded our gear into the venue and then went to get lunch at Whole Foods. Afterwards, we spent some time driving around (not on purpose lol) before going back to the venue.

- Slow Magic soundchecked and then we decided to go on a walk (after having been in the car for so long) but it was extremely windy and we ended up only going around the block.

- When we got back we realized since there wasn’t really a greenroom at the venue, that our best option was to hang out in our car before the show, which was actually quite fun.

- The show went really well and afterwards we drove to our hotel near Disney.

Maybe this is just my first time noticing these, but some of the truck stops we went to had these mobile chapels, which I thought were so well thought out design wise. I was afraid we would get in trouble for taking pics (idk by who…) but I just thought it looked so cool.

March 20th -21st

After checking out of our Nashville airbnb, we went to a Whole Foods (usually our first stop in any city that has one…I honestly feel like we stopped at more Whole Foods than we did cities 🤷🏼‍♀️) before starting the drive to Orlando. On our way there, we stopped in Macon, GA for dinner at a a Japanese restaurant, as well as for a trip to Target for Spindrift (sparkling water with real fruit juice…if you haven’t tried it, you should!). We ended up stopping in Valdosta, GA for the night and before we fell asleep, we all went to the gym (which truly made us feel like we had our lives together…even if it was after midnight lol).

It has been so long since I made a blog post. I had planned on posting tour diary posts while we were on the road, but this tour hasn’t been the most inspiring for taking photos and honestly, sometimes doing things on tour can be twice as hard. That being said, while we are at home for a few days, I wanted to upload some of the photos/posts from the first part of tour.

March 16th - 18th

After Slow Magic and I somehow managed to pack everything we needed to bring with us into the car, we completed the 24 hour drive from Phoenix to Nashville. When we arrived in Nashville, we immediately headed to a rehearsal space where we met up with Anton (you might remember him from the So Cute! tour posts), the third member of our crew. While we were there, Anton and I went over the show visuals while SM practiced his set. When we left the rehearsal space, it was around midnight and there weren’t many food options still open, so we found a grocery and picked up some things to make dinner at our Airbnb. The next day (the 19th), was the first show of the tour and it was so exciting to finally see it all come together :)

Fawn Barbie

Dream Angel

idk if you know this about me, but I love Barbie…a lot (not like in a ‘I buy Barbie dolls as an adult’ sort of way, but more in a ‘I love the girly aesthetic of Barbie’ sort of way). That being said, I do not often buy clothes from Barbie collaborations, usually because there is something a little off about the pieces. Occasionally, I do find something that I love enough to buy like this kid’s jacket from Target. While I think that it is cute on its own, I couldn’t help but feel like it needed a little fawn print or something. I decided the best way to add it would be to make a detachable fawn fur collar…the only problem being that I have never made a detachable collar. I looked for a tutorial online and after watching a bunch of youtube videos, I finally found one on a blog that was super easy to follow. I really love the way it turned out! Here are some pics :
